Prestige Family Residence

Set on a generous 1,200m² allotment in one of Melbourne’s most prestigious suburbs, this Toorak family residence demanded a photographic approach that could do justice to its grand proportions and refined architectural details. Working closely with the Kay & Burton team, we developed a shot list that covered each of the home’s eleven rooms as well as the landscaped gardens, pool pavilion, and four-car garage. Natural light was carefully managed throughout the day, with rooms photographed at the optimal time to avoid harsh shadows and preserve the warmth of the interior palette.

The architectural detail work was a highlight of this project — from the hand-carved stone fireplace surrounds to the bespoke cabinetry in the chef’s kitchen. We used a combination of wide-angle and tilt-shift lenses to render straight lines accurately while capturing the sense of scale that makes this home exceptional. The final gallery of 48 edited images gave the Kay & Burton sales team a comprehensive visual toolkit for brochures, digital advertising, and the property’s editorial placement in domain.com.au.
